Appelbaum uses color infrared photography, originally developed to detect camouflaged targets in surveillance and forensic investigations, to capture these highly surveilled individuals in relaxed, everyday settings.  Sarah Harrison is an investigative journalist who assisted Snowden in finding political asylum, and has worked on projects uncovering human rights violations and aspects of the global surveillance industry.
