Paolo Cirio

Paolo Cirio. Acrylic paint on photographic paper, 91×106 cm. For further enquiries about the artwork contact Nome.

For Overexposed, Cirio tracked down photographs and selfies of government officials in order to consider the aftermath of the Snowden affair and satirize an era of ubiquitous surveillance and over-mediated political personas. The works are produced via a specially developed HD stencil technique.  Michael Rogers has served as director of the NSA, commander of US Cyber Command, and chief of the Central Security Service since April 2014. He is working to build a force of 6,200 cybersecurity experts to combat a growing variety of cyber threats.
